Oyama, the warrior princess

his character was inspired by the African tribes (none in particular).She is a fusion of various African representations ranging from the tribal marks to her general outlook.
The horns are indigenous to the warriors from Mursi, Ethopia.
The spiral metal collar and the headdress was inspired by the Ndebele
tribe of South Africa.
The tribal marks are a combination of different African ethnicities
like Ghana, Kenya etc.
I tried to infuse a bit of modern attire to the warrior hence the Gladiator sandals; this represents the openness of the African tribe to the change brought by the western world in the same vein holding fast to their cultural beliefs.
